Obituary of Linda Bastarache
Mrs. Linda Bastarache passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on December 1, 2013. Born in St. Louis de Kent on August 17, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Luke Joseph and Mary Melanie (Guimond) Comeau. She is survived by her loving husband Edward Leslie Bastarache; two sons Lester (Marsha) of Calgary Alberta, Terrance (Bonita Martin) of Cambridge Narrows; two daughters Jacquelyn (Brian) Moorcroft and Sheila Shephard both of Rossville; her brother Luke (Judith) Comeau of Quispamsis; three sisters Eveline Lanigan of Saint John, Rosemarie (George) Prokipczuk of Saint John and Edith McLaughlin of Nanimao B.C.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Linda was predeceased by three brothers Arthur, Dolor and Orel Comeau and four sisters Rita Morrison, Alice Comeau, Vanessa Arsenault and Theresa Carrick. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3. Visitation will take place on Monday, December 9, 2013 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Our Lady of Assumption Church on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 12:00pm. Following the service interment will take place at the Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Donations made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
