Obituary of Doris Joan LeBlanc

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Doris Joan (White) LeBlanc. Doris was born in Saint John Westside to the late Nelson and Ella White on September 19, 1932. Doris was the loving wife of Michael (Max) LeBlanc. Along side her husband, Doris helped to build a successful flooring business in the Milford and Randolph area for close to twenty years. Doris was always active in her community and after raising her family, became one of the founding members of the Denis Morris Community Center and held the position of treasurer for many years. In her later years Doris became an avid bingo player and could be found at many a bingo hall through out the Saint John and surrounding areas in the evening. During the day Doris was at McAllister Mall finding a bargain, enjoying a cup of coffee, good conversation and great company, not to leave out taking a chance on a scratch ticket or two. Doris will be sorely missed. Doris is survived by her three daughters, Carol (Howard) Trainor, Cheryl (Patrick) McNulty and Michele (Victor Jr.) Holmes; six grandchildren, Michael (Darleen) McNulty, Maureen (Tim) Murphy, Adam Trainor, Taryn Holmes, Tessa Holmes and Tamara Holmes; three great grandchildren, Matthew McNulty, Mitchell McNulty, Patrick Murphy; two sisters, Gertrude Douglas, of Toronto and Pamela Lynch, of Fredericton. Besides her parents and husband Max, she was predeceased by her brothers, Earl White, Harold White, Frederick White, Clifford White; sisters, Alvena Ingersol, Leoda White and Donna White. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West,(634-1701). A visitation will take place on Monday, August 26, 2013 and Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be a reception held at the Denis Morris Community Centre following interment.
