Obituary of Kenneth Nason
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kenneth Millard Nason on December 26, 2013. Ken passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a long period of failing health and is now at peace with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He was born on July 24th, 1932 in Tracy, N.B. and was the son of Loran and Myrtle Nason. He will be deeply missed by his wife Paula (Mersereau) of 58 years. Ken is survived by his son Gregory (Christina) of Millgrove, Ontario; his daughter Jennifer (Daniel) Settle; as well as six grandchildren Sonia Adams (Robert), Ken Nason, Anjuli Nason, Anna Nason, Luke Settle, Caleb Settle and great-grandson Leo Adams. He is also survived by his sister Marie (Robert) Hetherington of Rusagonis, N.B. and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ken was predeceased by his sister Ruby Robinson and his brother Tilly. Ken retired after 38 years of service as supervisor with C.P. Rail. He was an active member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he had many dear friends. Ken enjoyed the outdoors; walking, biking, cross country skiing, boating, hunting and fishing. In the summers, Oromocto Lake was his favorite place to be with his family and friends. We would like to sincerely thank the staff at the CAM unit in St. Joseph’s for their support and care as well as Dr. Jim Stephenson. Ken is resting at Castle Funeral Home on Lancaster Avenue. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 29th,2013 from2-4pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church on Monday, December 30th, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. A private Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances can be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, the Diabetes Association or any charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com
