Obituary of Lillian Matheson

With sadness, the family of Lillian Matheson announces the death of their mother. She was born on February 6, 1922. She is predeceased by her mother and father Mabel and Charles Underwood, her husband Hilyard Matheson, and her brother Allan Underwood. She is survived by her four children Rennie (Linda) Matheson of Oromocto Lake, Margo Matheson of Rothesay, Terry (Lynn) Matheson of Saint John, and Chris (Coral) Matheson of Saint John; six grandchildren: Douglas Matheson of Saint John , Donald (Wendy) Matheson of Saint John, Starr (David) Burnside of Edmonton, Alberta, Clayton (Colleen) Matheson of Edmonton, Alberta, Morgan Matheson of Saint John, and Evan Matheson of Saint John; as well as five great grandchildren and several nieces And nephews. Lil worked at the Whitehouse Lodge as a waitress for 29 years. She will be missed by her family and friends. Resting at Castle Funeral Home (Fallsview Chapel), 309 Lancaster Avenue. Visitation on Monday 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday April 2, 2013 from Fallsview Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Animal Rescue League of Saint John or St. John St. Stephen Nursing Home would be appreciated by the family. Reception to follow funeral at Reversing Falls restaurant at 2:00 p.m.
