Obituary of Valerie McCavour
Mrs. Valerie McCavour passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side on August 26, 2014. Born in Saint John on October 24, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Nellie (Galbraith) Evans. Valerie loved going out with friends, being at home knitting, baking and having Thursday night suppers with family. Her fun loving spirit will be deeply missed. Valerie is survived by two sons, Vernon Arthur (Joanne) and Malcolm William (Donna); three daughters Christine Gallant, Holly Seeley (Mark) and Fern McCavour (David Cunningham). Also survived by six grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Willard Arthur McCavour, daughter Heather Louise McCavour and her brother Jack Evans. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm from Castle Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the Lorneville Seaview Cemetery at 11am with Vince Galbraith officiating. Donations made to the Lorneville Cemetery or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
