Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty" Baxter
Elizabeth “Betty” Baxter passed away peacefully on October 17, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1942 she was the daughter of the late Cecil Allen and Doris (McCavour). Betty was an avid New York Yankees fan, animal lover and always enjoyed a good book. She will be sadly missed by son Paul Baxter; daughters Lori (Jeff) Maker, Sharon Baxter and Tara Baxter all of Saint John, NB; brother Murray (Darlene) Allen of Mirimachi, NB; sister Sharon (Leo) Lohnes of Saint John, NB; cherished grandchildren Keltie (Stephanie) Baxter, Nathan Maker; aunt Eileen, uncle Murray, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements are under the direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Keeping with Betty’s wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held from Castle Funeral Home Chapel on Monday October 20, 2014 at 9:30a.m. Interment to follow at Lorneville Cemetery. Donations in Betty’s memory can be made to the Diabetes Association, SPCA Animal Rescue League or to the charity of one’s choice.
