Obituary of Robert "Bob" Marquis

Marquis, Robert Charles “Bob” Passed away on Saturday, July 07, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on March 11, 1944 in Saint John, NB he was the son of the late Henri Joseph and Therese Eugenie (Amero) Marquis. Bob lived most of his life in the Rothesay area. He was a devoted father, and special friend to many. He had a great love and respect for animals and loved nature. He will be fondly remembered for his kind heart and generous spirit. He was the sole proprietor of AMROC Masonary Limited since 1979. He will be sadly missed by his children, Patricia Ann Marquis, of Florida and Robert Steven Marquis, of Alberta; loving companion, Irene Wright; sister-in-law, Agnes Marquis; grandchild, Andrew Steven Johnson and one nephew and four nieces. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Henry Marquis. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Monday, July 09, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from Castle Funeral Home. Interment to take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saint John Animal Rescue League, Canadian Cancer Society, or heartfelt charity of the donor’s choice.
