Obituary of Allison Baird

Baird, Allison Stuart “Al” Passed away, unexpectedly, on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at his home. Born on August 23, 1948, he was the son of the late J. Stuart and Frances (Logan) Baird. Al lived in Saint John until 1971, when he moved to Kelowna, B. C. He returned to Saint John in 1985, to be closer to his family. Al's favourite hobby was playing billiards at the Golden Mile Billiards and Shooters, where he had many friends. Al was also a very gifted woodworker, especially in his earlier years. Al enjoyed spending time with his family and was a fixture at family gatherings. He will be missed. He is survived by his daughter, Katie Baird; brother, Leonard (Kathy) Baird; nephews, John (Holly), Luke (Crystal) and Logan Baird; great nephews, Brayden, Cohen, Dylan and Walker Baird and an uncle, several aunts and cousins. Arrangements have been entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place at Hillcrest Baptist Church on Friday, August 17, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from Castle Funeral Home. A reception will be held at the Fallsview Family Reception Center, following the service and interment will follow at the Lorneville Cemetery. Donations, in memory of Al, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
