Obituary of Clarence Harrison
Clarence Teed HarrisonIt is with sadness and gratitude for his long life, that his family announces the death of Clarence Teed Harrison, age 90, on August 15th, at his home in the Carleton-Kirk Nursing Lodge, surrounded by his family.He was born in New Jerusalem NB, the son of Ralph & Sybil (Hamilton) Harrison. Clarence is survived by his son Richard Harrison (Cathy), daughters Sharon Russell (Ralph), and Beverly Logan (Grant), sisters Verna Webb & Shirley Douglas, sisters in law Geraldine Harrison & Evelyn Harrison, brothers in law Ross McConchie (Thelma), & James McConchie, grandchildren Mike Russell (Linda), Michelle Horrobin (Chris), Joel Harrison (Trindy), Jason Harrison (Heather), Melissa Logan, & Sacha Logan (Dennis Sawyer), eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and will also be greatly missed by the staff and residents of Carleton-Kirk Nursing Lodge, which has been his home for the past 7 years & where he took an active interest in everything & everybody!Clarence was predeceased by his loving wife Jessie, brothers Ken & Clive, sisters Ruth Fitzsimons, Marion Harrison, brothers in law Malcolm Webb, Lloyd Douglas, Bob Fitzsimons, & sister in law Sharon McConchie.Clarence was a Second World War Veteran, an active member for many years of South Bay United Church, and for the past 7 years a member of Carleton-Kirk United Church, which he loved to attend. Clarence’s passion was divided between his family (which he worried about constantly) and watching Hockey where he remained a faithful Toronto Maple Leaf fan until his last breath! Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, with visitation on Monday, August 17th, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. The funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 18th, at Carleton-Kirk United Church, 1 Carleton Place, Saint John.
