Dear Judy,I was saddened to hear about Don's passing. Although I never met Don, I remember how much I enjoyed having a lengthy telephone conversation with him when I called and you were out. He was so very friendly and pleasant that I thought how nice it would be to meet him and have a conversation with him in person. My condolences to Don's family as I know he will be sadly missed.I worked at McAvity with Don and talked with him almost daily from 1958 to 1971 and he was a very good friend and helped me in personal ways when I needed some help in 1971.I will always remember Don for his kindness and cheerful ways.May he have a very peaceful rest.

I spent five summers working at McAvity Crane from 1972-1976 where my Dad, George Lockett also worked in the production department along with Don. Dad passed away on Oct. 4, 2014 and had fond memories of his days at McAvity Crane. My Mother, Bea and sister Janice would also like to send their condolences as well at this time.
