Obituary of Anezie Arsenault
It is with great sadness the family of Mrs. Anezie Marie (Guimond) Arsenault announce her unexpected passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on August 25, 2014. Born on January 9, 1934 she was a daughter of the late Eric and Louise (Robichaud) Guimond. Prior to her retirement she was employed at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Anezie was a past member of the 30 Up Club and the Women’s French Society Group. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, shopping, walking and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. Anezie is survived by her loving husband Ulysse Arsenault; four children, Pierrette Chessie (Jim) of Fredericton, Robert Arsenault (Colleen), Denise McFadyen (Gary) and Nicole McRae (Craig) all of Saint John; seven grandchildren, Mark, Monica, Brian, Brittany, Jeffrey, Jillian and Chloe; two great-grandchildren Dylan and Sam. Also survived by brothers Elzear (late Sylvia) Guimond and Florent (Doris) Guimond; sister-in-law Francine Guimond; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by three siblings, Jeanette Guimond, Melvin Guimond and Thelma Richard. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Castle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 12 Noon from Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Interment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
