Obituary of Burton Alderman
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Burton Alderman which occurred on Tuesday November 17, 2015 at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. Born July 29, 1937 he was the son of the late Burton and Audrey (Galbraith) Alderman. He spent many years working as a Commercial Lobster Fisherman. Burton will be sadly missed by sister Gloria (Capt. David) Pountney of Woodmans Point, NB; brothers Robert (Sara) Alderman of Grand Bay – Westfield, NB, Danny (Marion) Alderman of Bellville, ON, Joseph Alderman of Hamilton, ON, Ernest (Lois) Alderman of British Columbia, James Alderman of British Columbia, Peter (Jackie) Alderman of Barrie, ON, Paul (Yuet) Alderman of Calgary, AB. Besides his parents Burton was predeceased by sister Margaret “Peggy” and brothers Stephen, John and Norman. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home for their excellent care during Burton’s stay. They would also like to thank Burton’s caretaker Judy Bartlette for all her hard work and dedication to Burt. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Saturday November 21, 2015 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Sunday November 22, 2015 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at Castle Funeral Home Chapel on Monday November 23, 2015 at 10:00 am. Donations in Burton’s memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
