My favourite memory about Alvin was when I was out of work sick and when I finally came back he hugged me hard and said I thought you weren't coming back, I told him I would never leave and he said some stuff to me that will remain between us ,but he always has a special place in my heart God bless you Alvin and may you rest in peace

Alvin was a wise soul, we would chat for long periods of time, and not once did I ever hear a unkind word come from him, gentle, kind and caring. Proud to say he was a friend of mine ! RIP Buddy Boy! Until the next time, I say Goodbye ....

Alvin would always be at the front door to greet me with a big hello. His silly grin was infectious. Alvin loved to help a person in anyway he could. He sure liked to tease. Alvin was a very intelligent and talented man. I remember when he was studying for his GED. He put his whole heart and soul into it. He loved to play his guitar and sing. Him and I would sing CCR tunes. I am so happy I had the chance to spend time with Alvin and will cherish every moment.

Although I am saddened by Alvin's passing, I feel truly blessed to have been able to know him and care for him. Thank you for teaching me that beauty is in everyone. Jacoby will miss greeting you at the door in summer and I will miss our singing to the the good ol' tunes at night. I will miss our talks and your insight and perspective of this world.
