Obituary of Elizabeth Ryan

Passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (O’Donnell) Gerow and loving wife of the late Gordon Edward Ryan Jr. Betty is survived by her daughter Krista Clark (Christopher), son Keith Ryan(Kimberly), and daughter Julie Ryan (Christopher Pye), all of Saint John, NB; brothers Joe (Helen), Musquash, NB., Rhys, Toronto, On., and Larry, Vancouver, BC; sisters, Susan Robson (Steven), Saint John, NB., Karen Griffin (Greg), Surrey, BC., and Dawn Gerow, Saint John, NB.; grandchildren Patrick, Amber, Emma, Mercedez, Nevada, Emerald, Keiffer, and Hope; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was also predeceased by her sister, Shirley Gerow and nephew, Robbie Gerow. Arrangements entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West (634-1701) There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 1 pm followed by a reception in the Church Hall. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s memory may be made to the family, by way of a bereavement envelope at the funeral home, to assist with her Service or to the Children’s Wish Foundation, Girl Guides of Canada or the St. George’s Discertionary Fund.
