Obituary of Joseph Connors
Connors, Joseph Edwin Died peacefully, after a period of failing health, on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on September 24, 1943 he was the son of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Thompson) Connors. Joseph worked for CN and later a driver examiner for the province and retired in 2000 as the Director of Transportation School Districts 8 and 20. He loved spending time at Red Rock Camp, and was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved outdoor activities. He was also a member of the Simms Corner Coffee Club. Joseph had a special relationship with each grandchild, and loved to tease his family. He will be sadly missed by his sons, Jim (Tracey), of Saint John, NB and Joey (Melissa), of British Columbia; daughter, Jeanne Connors (Wayne Breen), of Saint John, NB; eight grandchildren, Katherine, Megan, Ryan and Jon Connors, Jodi and Bailey Connors and Mark and Sara Breen, all of Saint John, NB and one great granddaughter, Olivia Galbraith, of Saint John, NB. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West, (634-1701) visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from Castle Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. Donations, in memory of Joseph, may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
