Obituary of David Smith

Smith, David McKenzie David M. Smith of Brentwood Tower, husband of the late M. Louise (Reuell) Smith died on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. He was born on December 29, 1920, son of the late Harry J. and Clara A. (McKenzie) Smith. David lived all his life in Saint John. He was employed with the Canadian Pacific Railway as a conductor and trainman for forty-one years. He retired in 1981. He was predeceased by his brother, Maurice R. Smith and two sisters, Mary I. Straight and Dorothy W. Smith. He is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Joyce Overoye (Kenneth) of Chelmsford, Mass. and Mrs. Mary Jane Urquhart (Owen) of Bedford, Mass. and one nephew, Wayne D. Straight (Joan) of Saint John. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West (634-1701), there will be no visiting at the funeral home. There will be a visiting period before the funeral service, which will take place on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Castle Funeral Home. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Sand Cove Road, Saint John, New Brunswick. Donation to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
