Dear Mary,I was so sad to hear of Mike's passing. As you know, I had the pleasure of serving with Mike in the PWOR from 1991 to 1995. I truly believe that I became a better soldier with his guidance. Keith and I enjoyed the social time with both of you as well. Princess Diana's visit would not have been so special without Mike's tireless efforts and his insistence that the parade be perfect! It is a day that all of us with cherish forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Bev

To Mike's Family: Please accept my sincere sympathies to all of Mike's family and friends. I had the pleasure of working with Mike during the tour season as we both worked for Ambassatours as Train and Bus Guides, and of course, our Thomas weekend. I truly enjoyed my time spent with Mike and I always came away with a laugh and some great tour facts and tips. Most days I could not believe my luck in spending time with a co-worker who enjoyed their work as much as I did. May God Bless and keep Mike's family and friends and give them the Peace that Mike is now hearing the words........."Well done, good and faithful servant".

To the Bambrick Familly my heart goes out to you at this very sad time. What a wonderful man. Mike was so full of life with stories, comments of wisdom and laughs that was enjoyed by all. I will miss him as my Tour Guide as he did this position with detailed information, enthusiasm and his best. We always had a chuckle for the day and he would share with me also stories of his family and I always enjoyed the story of him taking his grandson golfing and how they enjoyed his bologna sandwiches (Newfoundland Steak). I feel so priviledged to have met and worked with such a fine man. With love and prayers to you all, Carolyn Roberts

Just a note of condolences to Mike (RIP) and complete family. I met Mike in Germany during the 70's and worked side by side for 3 years. I left for Canada and parted ways. By coincidence, my employment took me to visit Reserve units in Eastern Ont and there was Mike, as RSM of the PWOR in Kingston. Again, my friend RIP and I will see you on the other side. Pro Patria

I too enjoyed working with Mike at Ambassatours. He was so friendly and loved to strike up a conversation about anything and everything! I was very impressed by his knowledge of history, and he was always anxious to learn even more about a subject of interest. He was happy and willing to help his co-workers by sharing information with them. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to the entire family.

So saddened to learn of Mike's passing. Our hearts go out to his family, of whom he spoke often during the month we spent as his trainees at Holiday Retirement in Saint John back in 2010. Mike later visited us at Kingsdale Chateau when we were co-managers there and provided us with more of his wisdom and insight. Mike was a great teacher and an inspiration to us in so many ways. God bless you, Mike. You will be missed!Dave & Betty Ecclestone

Ambassatours Gray Line posted a condolence

Our heartfelt condolences to Mike's family, friends and other colleagues. Mike was a wonderful guy with a huge capacity for both empathy for others and a deep sense of loyalty. His days in the military were undoubtedly his fondest with a career that few have very had. His ability to tell stories is rivalled by few - he was interesting, genuine and had a wit that all who listened could enjoy. The experiences he was challenged by and reward by were engaging ...I (Mary) had a chance to get to know Mike at the Day Out With Thomas festival in Saint John last year (2013) when we spent plenty of time gabbing away as we waited for each of the 10 trains a day to empty - Mike greeted each little conductor and their family as they departed their ride on THOMAS with a "how did you like that young fella - enjoy the ride?"....to which he was greeted with some big smiles; some tears of joy and even a few leg wraps of some little people who were clearly overwhelmed with their experience. Mike was wonderful with each and every one of them. To his family - we're so sorry - Mike was a wonderful representation of our company values - kind, considerate, genuine and hardworking - he made a lot of people's visit to Saint John better for his having met them! We wish you well as you continue on without Mike by your side.Dennis Campbell/Mary Dempster and the whole Ambassatours Gray Line Team
