Fillis, Deborah Elaine (Cormier) Passed away, unexpectedly on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at her home. Born on March 18, 1955 in Saint John, NB. She was the daughter of the late William and Leila (Clark) Cormier. Loving wife of the late Wilburn “Leo” Fillis. Deborah enjoyed cards and BINGO and loved spending as much time as she could with her grandson, Jacob. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Stella (John) King and Jacaleen (Kirk) Blizzard; brothers, Frederick Cormier (Wanda Bent), Gary Cormier (Lisa Scott) and Norman Cormier; sisters, Sandra (Norman) Adams, Linda Cormier (Bill Dennis) and Judy (Cormier) Roberts (Pat Wills); grandson, Jacob King; step-grandson, John Jay King; step great-grandsons, Cohen and Greyson King and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Richard Bruce, in infancy and brother, George Cormier. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 and Wednesday, March 14, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from Castle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held, following the interment, at the Fallsview Family Reception Center. Donations, in memory of Deborah, may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, NB Lung Association, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
