Obituary of Eileen Vautour

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Eileen C. (Bradbin) Vautour , wife of the late Arthur J. Vautour occurring on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Kennebec Manor. Formerly of Darryll Avenue, Quispamsis. Eileen was the last surviving member of her family. Born in Fairville, Saint John on November 13, 1926. She was the daughter of the late William Bradbin and Mary (Kellagher) Bradbin. She was a loving & devoted wife of 63 years. A loving mother, grandmother & great –grandmother and friend to all. She spent many years devoted to being a very special mother to her children. As a young girl, she worked at the box mill on the west side of Saint John. Later in years working for Irving Pulp & Paper in West Saint John area. Then retiring from Saint John St. Stephen Nursing Home, Millidgeville, Saint John. She enjoyed singing, entertaining, playing bingo, cooking, sitting around the table with her family and reminiscing about the younger years. She will forever be sadly missed by her family. Eileen is survived by her six sons, George (Mary) Vautour, Waltham, Mass, and Randall (Kathy) Vautour of Chelmsford, Mass, Gary Vautour, Saint John, Leo (Wally) Vautour, Grand Bay, Stewart (Lisa) Vautour, Arthur (Trudy), both of Saint John West; five daughters, Roseann Cormier, Shediac, NB, Wanda (Ronnie) Bourgeois, Hampton, Carolyn (Paul) Huckins, Catherine Vautour, Patricia Vautour, all of Saint John. Surviving in addition to her children are, nineteen grandchildren and twenty six, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her special dog cuddles”. She was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Delphis Cormier and one grandson, Norman Cormier. Arrangements are entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West, (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 10am from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Interment will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
