Obituary of Willi Johann Ernst Schmidt

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Willi Johann Ernst Schmidt which occurred on Monday February 8, 2016 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born May 12, 1929 in Hamburg, Germany he was the son of the late Gystau and Earnestine (Wisenberg) Schmidt. Willi will be sadly missed by loving wife Sharon (Hay) Schmidt; daughters Stephanie (James) Schmidt of Quispamsis, NB, Jessie (John) Schmidt of Saint John, NB; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 10, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday February 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from Castle Funeral Home Chapel. Donations in Willi’s memory can be made to Rocmaura Terrace and Hillcrest Baptist Soul Food.
