Please accept my heartfelt sympathies and condolences. Joe was a shining example of a person being a force for "good" in this world. I lived in Martinon and knew Joe from school. My brother Ed Tracy, talked about Joe almost daily since he visited him (quite by accident - as Ed's wife, also named Marg Tracy was a patient on the same floor with Joe) in the hospital some 3 months ago.

I only met Joe several times, but through many conversations with his son Paul, I felt as if I knew him well. Joe had a great sense of humour. It was dry, very dry. Joe had a love for family and for community. He had a sense of knowing what needed doing, and he did it, one way or another. Joe was part of the NB Power family for over 35 years. I believe that NB Power is a better company because of people like Joe Masson. There was nothing fancy about Plain Joe. He liked everything plain, especially his food. Like many others I was saddened to hear Joe had passed. Unfortunately the last few months had not been kind to him. My wife Lynn and I offer Joe's family our condolences at a difficult time. May God bless.

It's hard not to think of Joe each time we pull into the church driveway, each time we walk into the rectory. It's difficult, to say the least, to accept that we will not look out the window of the kitchen and say "Oh, Joe is at the church". He is and will be greatly missed by Rob, Stephen and myself. I can't help but remember not only Joe's hope, but his excitement for what the Lord is doing on the West Side. His spirit will continue to encourage me, and I'm sure many others for a very long time. Heather, Paul, Dawn, Adam, we can't express how saddened we are at your loss. Joe was truly a giant among men.

Heather & Family - I am so sorry for your loss as Joe was a good friend and co-worker for over 30 years. He assisted me greatly when I worked in Rothesay and even when I transferred to Head Office. We were on many projects together of which neither one of us had time for, so we were often great company for each other. Joe always put his family first and spoke of all of you often and at the same time was a very dedicated "NB Power Man" who wanted things done correct, the first time. In a word I would say Joe "Cared" about everything he did, and I am still shocked at his passing, and so sorry that he had to go through this illness. I hope there is some comfort in knowing how much his colleague's thought of him and how he will be missed.

I had the pleasure of being one of the nurses that looked after your husband and father (and grandfather). His love for his family was so apparent! I had a conversation with him on Mother's Day as he was so proud of a surprise that the family had devised for you Mrs. Masson...his enthusiasm for providing you with some joy moved me to tears. I will never forget that conversation, though it only lasted a few minutes. When you are able to see unconditional love, devotion and self-lessness in action it is a beautiful thing. Please accept my condolences on your loss-you are in my prayers.
