To Doug and Pat,I just learned of the passing of Ann. My memories of her are always with your dad. Their two names were one word . And they were rarely separated. It was such a pleasure to go to lunch with them at their home. Dad was so welcome there. Coming to my house in Hampton was another special thing for me. Usually there were about ten other people from Hillcrest with them and I would get home from school and my driveway would be filled with cars and I would know, Oh Ann and Doug are here!! Please accept my sincerest sympathy in her passing. She fought many health battles But this battle is over and she fought the good fight. We know her home is in a better place. Sincerely,Cheryl Bezanson

Doug, Fred, Bill, Betty Ann & Debbie:You will never know how much your mother & father assisted my mother as my father was passing and their love when my mother passed. We know she has wings now and has joined your father. My sincere condolences in your loss. She left a mark on the West Side that will probably not be matched. It seems so long ago that we resided just up (or down) St. James Street. Again my condolences.Lorne ListerChildhood Friend(352) 625-3348

I am so sorry to hear of Ann's passing...what a lovely lady she was! I first met Ann and Doug in the early 2000's when I was doing a community newsletter called "West Side Story". I visited their home to do a story about the West Side Food Bank. I also ran into them when doing a story on the Seafarers Mission. They loved my paper, and I delivered it to them for the next six years! My thoughts are with you at this difficult time...however, I am comforted by the prospect of Ann being reunited with Doug. It was obvious how much they loved each other!"West Side Wendy" Matheson

I am sorry for your loss. Ann was an amazing person. When I briefly attended her church she went to great lengths to make myself, grandmother, and daughter feel welcome. She went out of her way many times to include me. She offered great parental advise and was always there to lend an ear and supportive word in my life's challenges. She was a true testament of Our Loving Lord and the love she had for him was never dim. I mourn with you today at this great loss but know she will be waiting with open arms to rejoice the return of Christ Our Lord.
