So sorry to hear about Uncle Billy's passing. I have fond memories of Uncle Billy sitting at my mom and dad's kitchen table telling tales about his recent exploits with skunks, racoons, deers, and sometimes bears that would invade his vegetable garden. Getting his shot gun out was always an option to solve this nasty problem. Even my daughter Rachael and son Jake remember some of these stories. Uncle Billy left a pernament mark in our kitchen, a chair, that over the years became scratched and worn by the constant rubbing of Billy's suspenders against the wooden frame. My mother insisted that when Billy came to visit he sat in that same chair. Obviously this was my mom's attempt to preserve the appearance of the other chairs. There were dozens of scratches on this particular chair which is testiment to the number of visits over dozens of years and the conversations that took place at the table between my mom, dad and Uncle Billy. Many thanks Uncle Bill for those daily visits to my dad when my mom passed away. You and Nancy hardly ever missed a day and took the time to see how he was doing. I am forever grateful to you for taking and sharing your time with dad. Take care Nancy, Barbara, Roger and Kevin, you are in our thoughts. Debbie, Herb, Jake and Rachael.

I have so many memories about Uncle Billy. Those summers on the Nancy Barbara and the Lady Nelson. The time we were at the Gagetown Fair, when the weight of the boats was too much for the anchors and Billy, the hero, sat straddling the bow, holding our mini-fleet away from the other boats which were anchored in our path, as we drifted down the river until someone (Dad I think) could steer us to safety. The time he tried to unhook the eel from our fishing line at White's Bluff and how he steered the speedboat as the cousins learned how to water-ski. I wish I could be home. He will truly be missed.
