Obituary of Charles Williams
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Charles Wade Williams, of Saint John West, beloved husband of Nona L. (Ellis) Williams on Tuesday July 15, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Emma (Wallace) Williams. Charlie worked with the City of Saint John in the Water Dept. until 2013. He loved photography, ATV riding and astronomy. Most of all he loved walking through the woods with his special canine companions and taking long drives with his beloved family. Charlie is survived by his wife, two daughters: Megan E. Williams of public Landing & Sarah E. Williams of Black River, and one son Justin E. Williams, of Saint John; three brothers, Donald, Robert and William, all of Saint John, and one sister, Cathy Blizzard, also of Saint John; one granddaughter: Emma Leigh Williams, and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by his mother-in-law Sandra Ellis (MacGowan) of NS. Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, N.B. 506 634 1701, with visitation being held on Thursday July 17, 2014 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday July 18, 2014 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 12 o’clock. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Denis Morris Community Center. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
