Obituary of Bordage Arthur Joseph
Arthur Joseph Bordage of Saint John, NB passed away peacefully at the Carleton Kirk Lodge on Wednesday August 26, 2015. He was born in Acadieville, NB on March 5, 1925 and was the son of the late Frederic and Madeleine (Guimond) Bordage. Art spent many years working for CP Rail as a trucker/checker, located at the Port of Saint John on the west side. He was a dedicated Montreal Canadiens and Expos/Nationals fan. He enjoyed bowling, his daily walks, going to the Peter Murray Arena, Tim Horton’s and the Rite Touch convenience store in Fairville. He will be sadly missed by daughters Karen Cleghorn (Oupie Roberts) and Kelly (Edgar) Richard both of Saint John; brothers Louis (Rita) Bordage of Acadieville and Emile (Theresa) Bordage of Saint John, NB; sister Sr. Corinne Bordage, C.N.D of Montreal, PQ; sisters-in-law Alma, Madeline and Josephine. In addition to his parents, Art was predeceased by his loving wife Mary Theresa (Hanlon) Bordage; brothers Elzear (Domine), Luc, Edward (Osina), Adrice (infant), Francois (Leona), Alban, Lionel, Eric (infant), Adrice (Juliette), Alfred; sisters Sr. Emilienne C.N.D. and Edith (Edmond) Cormier. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and his extended family and friends.Special thanks to the staff of the Carleton Kirk Lodge for their compassionate care for our Dad.Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John (506) 634-1701. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 29 & Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Peter’s Catholic Church on Monday, August 31 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in Art’s memory can be made to the Arthritis Society, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice.
