Obituary of Eudore Theriault
The death of Mr. Eudore Pierre Theriault, husband of Yvonne (Robichaud) Theriault, occurred unexpectedly on September 22, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St. Quentin on May 3, 1939, he was the son of the late Pierre and Jeanne (Richard) Theriault, and after her early death, his step-mother Marie (Belanger) Theriault. Eudore was the founding Grand Knight of the Msgr. W. J. Osborne Council 6770, Knights of Columbus, as well as the Faithful Navigator of the Fr. Carl Hickey Assembly 1940, serving as Past Deputy and several positions in State Council. He worked for Irving for 27 years at the Johnson House and for 17 years at Workman’s Rehabilitation Centre. Eudore enjoyed volunteering to help others for various causes, as well as having a great passion for cooking. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Yvonne (Robichaud) and his daughter Therese, siblings Oneil (Monique) Theriault, Gracia Theriault, Alphonse (Georgette) Theriault, Solange (the late Donald) Levesque, Jean Yves Theriault, Jeannine (Claude) Houle, Jean Claude (Annette) Theriault, Francine (Claude) Babineau, Claudette (Mario). Gagnon Theriault, Pierrette (Marc) Berthelot and sisters-in-law Monique and Tina Theriault. Beside his parents and step-mother, he was predeceased by Florian, Paul, and Aime Theriault. Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4, & 7-9 p.m. The Knights of Columbus Council 6770 will offer prayers on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Church on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Following the interment, a Time of Fellowship will take place at the Assumption Centre. Donations to the Cdn Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
