Obituary of Paul LeBlanc

LeBlanc, Paul Joseph Following a brave and valiant battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that the family of Paul Joseph LeBlanc, loving husband of Cheryl (Dunlap) LeBlanc, announce his passing on Thursday, March 08, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital-Palliative Care Unit. Paul was in born in Saint John, NB on October 30, 1964 to Emery and Doris (Babineau) LeBlanc. He worked at NCA microelectronics for 11 years and then worked at BASE Engineering until his illness. Paul was a man of many talents; he enjoyed working on cars in his younger years and could build and fix anything. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was fortunate enough to attend a race before his illness became worse. Besides his wife and parents he is survived by two children Kaitlyn (age 8) and Matthew (age 3), his brother Danny LeBlanc (Tanya), sisters Annette MacKinnon (Peter) and Rose-Marie Barrieau (Claude), three nephews Ryan MacKinnon, Daniel Barrieau and Nick Bates LeBlanc and two nieces Lindsay MacKinnon and Gabrielle Barrieau, paternal grandmother Irene LeBlanc of Bouctouche, his goddaughter Tiffany Janes, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. Paul is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Alma & Azor Babineau, his paternal grandfather Fred LeBlanc and uncle Leo-Paul LeBlanc. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West, (634-1701) visitation will take place on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. from Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Donations, in memory of Paul, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
