Obituary of Madeline Steele

The death of Madeline Steele occurred on March 13, 2011 at the Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on July 21, 1924 she was the daughter of the late John Mathew Steele and Kathleen (King) Steele. Family was important to Madeline. She enjoyed the company of her nieces and nephews, whom she loved, and looked forward to spending time together with them. She will be sadly missed by everyone. She is survived by her loving and caring sister Kathleen Holland; nieces and nephews Bob (Nicole) Steele, Cathy (Pat) Kirby, Michael (Sherye) Cormier, Mark Cormier, Derek (Joanne) Cormier, Ann (Jeff) Dykstra, Elaine Cormier, and Andrew (Marieve) Cormier. Madeline will also be missed by her sisters in law Eleanor, and Eva Steele, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Madeline was also predeceased by her brothers Arthur Steele, John H. Steele, Robert J. Steele and her sister Dorothy Cormier. Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Wednesday March 16, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday March 17, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption, 360 Dufferin Row. The interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery with a reception at Fallsview Family Reception Centre. The family would like to thank the staff Rocmaura Nursing Home for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Madeline's memory can be made to the Rocmaura Nursing Home.
