Obituary of Allan Peter Orridge
Allan Peter Orridge, 74, passed away in Tecumseh, Ontario on July 16, 2016. He was born and educated in England and moved to Canada in his twenties to begin his career as a Chartered Accountant in Windsor, Ontario. It was there he met his beloved Mary and they married and started their family. They remained in Windsor for eighteen years before relocating to the Maritimes, a place he had dearly loved visiting. He spent the remainder of his career with Bartlett, Mills and Orridge on Saint John’s west side, retiring in 2000. He and Mary greatly enjoyed their winters in Florida and the occasional fishing trip to England. Pete was a kind and tenderhearted man who will be remembered by many for his booming voice, quick wit and love of family. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Doull) in 2009. He is survived by daughter Lynn, son-in-law Ian Tufek, grandson James Tufek and granddaughter Jessica Tufek of Tecumseh, Ontario; daughter Deb, son-in-law Todd Barnhill and granddaughters Amy and Laurel Barnhill of Truro, Nova Scotia; brother Geoffrey Mead; sister Christina (Peter) Boyle; sister-in-law Norma (Bruce) Smith; sister-in-law Sara Mead; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, West Saint John, (634-1701) with visitation and reception on Monday, July 25th, 2016 from 12 to 2 pm.
