Obituary of Gary Gogan
With heavy hearts the family of Gary Donald Gogan announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Born November 12, 1944, Gary is the son of Madeline (Masocato) Gogan and the late Albert Gogan. Gary was an employee and retiree of the City of Saint John. He was an avid woodworker and loved to make many wooden crafts. Many of Gary’s friends and family members have possession of his works of art. Gary was a personable person who could be seen walking the neighbourhood with his dog “pepper”. Gary is survived by his mother, Madeline (Masocato) Gogan, his brother, Stephen (Judy) Gogan, of Saint John, his sisters, Barbara (David) Palmer, of Fairvale, N.B. Norma (John) Knight, and Nancy Russell (Dana deceased) both of Saint John. Gary is also survived by his dog “pepper” as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, N.B. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. from Castle “Fallsview” Chapel with Father Gerry White officiating. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetary. A reception following the service and interment will be held at Castle “Fallsview” Reception Center.
