Galbraith, Ronald L. (Ron) Passed away, unexpectedly, on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 26, 1928 in Saint John, NB. He was the son of the late Burton and Florence (Kierstead) Galbraith. Loving husband of Myrtle (Chamberlain) Galbraith. Ron was an Accountant all of his working life and owned his own business. He also owned and operated Lancaster Jewellers for many years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #2 and attended Coffee Club at Burger King. Ron had a great sense of humour and loved to make people laugh. He was a family man and loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his wife, he will be sadly missed by his children, Janette (Randy) Silliker, Pam (Alvin) Vautour, Kelly (Paul) Gibbons, Tracey (Fred) Comeau and Mark (Tanya) Galbraith; sisters, Moira Reed, of Texas, Sandra Fox and Paula Valpy, both of Saint John, NB; sister-in-laws, Marie and Barb Galbraith; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Louis. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Robert (Bob) and Jack. Arrangements have been entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West, (634-1701) A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Castle Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #2, following the interment. Donations, in memory of Ron, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
