At this difficult time I wish to pass on my deepest sympathies to Brian's immediate and extended family. Brian and I first met in the mid 60's while hanging out on Champlain St along with a number of other friends. Later that summer his father Blake, took a number of us camping to Parlee Beach Shediac which turned out to be the first of many trips we made in later years. While in high school, weekend nights were filled with attending local teen dances. He liked to drink Gilbey's Lemon Gin.One summer he and I travelled throughout Quebec and Ontario attempting to get to Vancouver with a total of $125.00 between us. We survived a month.Brian brought much enjoyment to my life in those years as I'm sure he did to all in later years. R.I.P. my good friend........Robert Arseneau. Victoria BC

Our deepest condolences to Joan and Brian's family. Brian and I were neighbours up at Belyeas Cove and he will be missed by Barb and my Family even more so for myself. Even though I only new Brian for five years it felt like we had know each other forever. We spent almost every evening on our decks telling stories galore. Barb would sit there and just shake her head and state are you sure you two aren't brothers. I think we were connected as both of our families were from Queens County. I will miss him greatly so rest in peace big guy.

Brian was such a great person and he was a wonderful neighbor for the past 10 years. Talking to him while out playing with the kids or having him randomly show up in the garage or planting plants in our yard what was enjoyable about him to us and what will make us miss him. Joan, we are keeping you and your family in our thoughts.

I'm an online friend, we met because of our love of coins. One day out of the blue, Brian set me a shinplaster (that is a paper 25 cent)....He said to him him something back, so I did and we continued exchanging things, he even wanted banknotes... :) He said he wanted to see what the fuss was about. :) He always spoke about his family. His wife, kids and grandkids. Clearly he was a man that loved and cherised his family not to mention very proud of them too. He once told me that that he had a very special wife...Not everyone could put up with him. 'grin'.I will miss his wisecracks... My deepest sympathies to each and everyone of you. Cyberhugs from Winnipeg.. PS: One thing he thought me was that it's Saint John NB, not St-John!!!!! (personally, I didn't see the difference).
