Obituary of Betty Smith
Betty Anne Smith. It is with deep sorrow the family of Betty Anne (Silliphant) Smith, wife of C. Gordon Smith, announce her sudden passing at home on Sunday, March 1, 2015.Betty was born in Saint John, the daughter of the late Harry and Louise Ball Blanche (Blacklock) Silliphant. Betty worked for many years at Kmart on the Westside. She was a member of St. Giles United Church and more recently St. Marks United Church. Betty is survived by her husband of sixty years, Gord, three sons Gregory (Debbie), Michael (Lori), Barry (Shelley), two grandsons Jeffrey and Bradley, two great-granddaughters Emma and Alyvia, as well as several nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her parents, infant daughter and her two sisters, Lois S. Ingersoll and Joy Doreen Kenny. Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 pm on Wednesday, March 4th, at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will take place funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 5th, 2015 at 2:00 pm Rev. John Roy officiating. Donations made to the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
