Obituary of Lynne Killam
Lynne Allison (Rose) Killam born June 19, 1941 passed away April 7, 2017 at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John. Wife of the late John F. Killam for 47 years and daughter of the late Clifford and Lillian (Parks) Rose. Lynne was a life-long resident of West Saint John. She attended New Albert School, Saint John High School and Teachers’ College in Fredericton. Lynne and John were proud parents of three children, Melissa Doucet, Tracey Baird (Todd) and Andrew Killam. In addition she is survived by six grandchildren, Mitchell and Jared Doucet, Paige, Hannah, and Cameron Baird, and John Killam, one great grand-child, Réal Doucet Richard. Lynne taught in local schools, Old Black River Rd, Glen Falls and Beaconsfield. She worked for a brief time at K-Mart West and enjoyed 14 years working at Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. Lynne is predeceased by husband John F. Killam, brother David Rose, and parents Cliff and Lillian Rose. Lynne was a member of Carleton Kirk United Church where she served on the board of trustees, Pastoral Care Worship Committee, Church Council, UCW and Church Choir. Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701) have been entrusted with the arrangements. A visitation will take place at Carleton Kirk United church on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10:00 am until service time. A Memorial service will be held from Carleton Kirk United Church Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 11:00 am. A reception will be held in Thompson Hall at Carleton Kirk following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Carleton Kirk United Church, or Carleton Kirk Lodge Nursing Home. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com
