Such a good man and good influence on all those he touched. Our family considered Ronnie and Nanny Palmer a part of our own family. Nice to reminisce at the parlour, unfortunately neither Ian nor I were able to attend his funeral but prayed for him and family. We have so many great memories of him and in the long run, these memories are what life is all about. Have been thinking of you all and keep your memories in your hearts always.

Mr Palmer was one of the best teachers I ever had. He went out of his way to bring the best out of me, which even then meant more than he could probably have imagined. In fact, until Grade 9 history with him, I was at best a thoroughly mediocre student. It was thanks to teachers like Mr Palmer that I ended up on the right academic track. I have thought of him often since Beaconsfield School, and I'm heartbroken that he's now gone.

So saddened to hear of Ron's passing! I taught with Ron during my first few years of teaching at River Valley. He was very kind & welcoming to me ,as a 'rookie' teacher, I was Phys Ed. so we hit it off right away as Ron always took an interest in the athletes at RV. My thoughts & prayers are with all the Family members of the Palmer Family. Students loved him!

"Mr. Palmer". Even though we ended up being related through marriage, he will always be Mr. Palmer to me. The best teacher I ever had, he was very patient, and had a great sense of humour. This was a must, considering who my "2nd year of grade 9" class was made up of. Rest in peace, Mr. Palmer. You will be greatly missed.

I have so many memories and good times with my dear brother in law. We certainly shared a lot of fun times. One story that comes to mind is when he came for a visit and went for a swim in our pool. He got out of the pool and sat down comfortably and said, Does that chlorine kill everything in the pool, I looked at him with a sigh and said apparently not everything. We kept that going for a long time. When we first moved to Montreal he also came for a visit and made me a crude looking pair of window shutters for my cabana or shed, guess what their still up and with the help of a paint job I must say they look pretty good. Cheers Ron, you did a great job. I could tell so many stories, its endless, too many for sure. Ill miss you my dear brother in law, thanks for being such a special part of my life. I will never forget you. Love, Carole

Ahhh Ronnie! - Friend officially but Family in heart. So many memories coming to mind ... each bringing a smile. (((Sincere hug))) to each and every member of 'my' Palmer family for such a loss; love you all. My thoughts are with you and special prayers are going up in support of the days ahead. (I'm picturing Ronnie with Mabel now ... together ... tending to the young again... and when my 'time' comes ... I plan on looking in on the two of them ... just to see how that is working out ... chasing after children with wings!!! ... angels or not ... would be quite a chase to watch!! LOL .. a whole new sport for Ronnie) ... Cheers to an earthly life well spent; Cheers to his Heavenly life ahead-well earned .... and again, (((sincere hug))) to all.
