Obituary of Mona McArthur
The death of Mona McArthur, wife of the late Robert McArthur, occurred on November 5, 2011 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Scotland on September 14, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William and Louisa (Newton) Craig. She is survived by her daughters Sheila of Saint John, Elaine (Lloyd) Anderson of Victoria B.C., Linda Parks (Jim Fergerson) of Saint John; grandchildren Andrew, Michael, Greg; sister Frances (Iain) McCulloch of England. Mona will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mona was also predeceased by her grandson Ryan and her sister Dorothy Burrows. She was a longtime member of St. John and St. Stephen Presbyterian Church and the Saint John Regional Hospital Auxiliary, she enjoyed curling and playing bridge. Mona dedicated her life to her family, especially caring for her special daughter Sheila. The funeral service will be held on November 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church, 101 Coburg Street with a reception to follow at the church, and a private interment. The family would like to thank the staff at Loch Lomond Villa for the care and compassion shown to our family. Donations in Mona’s name may be made to the Loch Lomond Villa or the charity of one’s choice.
