Connie, Rod, and Brad, I hadn't seen Ron in 40 years but he was a good friend back in the day. I played in a rock group out of Saint John and Ronnie was our truck driver and friend. Kind and considerate, he was a truly great guy. I left SJ about the same time he went to the middle east. Turns out I returned to the city about the same time he did but we never ran into each other again. Now I find he was in Long Point and I have been in Kingston for two years. May God watch over and bless you. Know that Ron touched people long before you were on the scene, as it were, and that he lives on in the hearts and minds of those who knew him - even 40 years ago. Blessings to all, Peter, The Rev. J. Peter Gillies, Rector, The Anglican Parish of Kingston https://www.facebook.com/peter.gillies1

Connie, I was shocked when Jamie McLellan found me e-mail and told me about Ronnie, it was only a couple of days past that I was thinking of Ron and I receive the terible news. Our thoughts are whit you and the boys for your loss. It was only a short while ago that I was telling Bev the trip that Ron and I had from Lepreau in the winter when my truck broke down and Ron picked me up and I ended up at your place for the night. Ron was a good man and husband and we will all miss him. Again my condolences to you and the boys. Sincerely Paul Weatherby

Jeanette, Paulette, and Yolande, Although I have not seen any of you, except Ron, since my teenage years, I think of you often with great fondness. A part of each of our lives contains the times we spent together and has helped to shape who we are today. With the passing of your brother, and my teenage friend, there is a part of my past which I can no longer visit,... to cheer, or comfort or exchange ideas with. But Ron still has a place in my heart which no one else can fill and my life is richer for having known him, and all of you. May the God of peace give you comfort in knowing that your brother's suffering is over. It is hardest for those who have to live on with the emptiness that death thrusts upon us. But look to the One, Who defeated death and rose from the grave a conqueror in order to provide us with the promise that you will see your brother again one day. My sincerest sympathies,... Your Friend,... Rudy
