Obituary of Ruth Clark

Clark, Ruth E. wife of Robert E. Clark of Saint John, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20th, 2014, at the Carleton-Kirk Nursing Lodge. Born in Saint John on February 17th, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Alma (Hawley) Jones. As well as raising 8 children, Ruth worked as a cook for 41 years. She is survived by her sons, John Gallant, David Gallant (Claire), Bobby, Rob “Bud” (Maureen), daughters, Linda Gallant, Cathy Burke (Gilbert), Janet Stevens (Marty), Susan Walsh (Dave), sisters, Joyce, Pam Snodgrass (Raymond), 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by a brother Lewis. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, with visitation on Friday, August 22, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm and Saturday, August 23, from 11:00 am-1:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, on Saturday, August 23rd at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB.
