My heart goes out to all of you. Al's smile would brighten any day at any time. I will miss his singing in the summer and his always cheery "hello". We will miss having such a cheery person around.I'm not sure if anyone else knows this but one morning, around 6am, I was outside shoveling after a particularly heavy snowfall, Al came out and helped me, this was about 3 years ago and it is something I will never forget. He's one of a kind. A VERY special person

Dear Mary Lou and family. Absolutely shocked and terribly saddened. Hits me like a ton of bricks. I have no idea what has happened or if Al had been il. Lovely photo, Al, always smiling and helping others. A man among men. Most unfortunately and hard to believe, I will be in the air flying home briefly this Saturday. I feel terrible not being able to attend the service but my ticket allows no changes. I will drive up in May when home permanently to offer my personal condolende. Rest in peace Al, you deserve it. A great friend never to be forgotten.

Mary Lou and family, I am so sorry to hear about Al's death. Al was such a lovely man. I never saw him without a smile. He always wore the best sweaters that I have ever seen. Al, from what I could tell was a very loving, giving, fun, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, godfather (if he was one), friend, fellow parishioner, employer and an all round good man. I know he will be greatly missed. Take strength in each other and share all the wonderful memories you have of Al. These memories will help you when you are feeling so sad. Think of the funniest things that Al said or did and at least for awhile you will smile.
