Obituary of Clarence Pevlin
Pevlin, Clarence Leonard husband of the late Annie (Forbes) Pevlin passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Turnbull Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on July 27, 1917 son of the late Frederick Arthur and Ethel May (Post) Pevlin.Clarence was a carpenter, longshoreman and checker with the Steamship Lines and he was formerly known as “Pev”.He is survived by his daughter Shirley Penny Campbell of Ontario; sons Leonard (Cecile) of Saint John, Russell (Christina) of Ontario, Robert “Bob” (Jane) of Nova Scotia, Brian (Myra) of Newfoundland and Stephen (Beverly) of Saint John; a half-sister Lorraine Pitt (Peter) of Saint John; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren. Also survived by a special friend Evelyn Tidd.Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, NB E2M 2L3. With visitation on Thursday evening, August 14th, 2014 from 6-9pm. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 15th, 2014 at 11:00am from Castle “Fallsview” Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery.
