Obituary of Cedric "Ted" Lee
Lee, Cedric R. “Ted” Passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, October 04, 2011 in his 93rd year. He leaves to mourn his wife of 70 years Grace (Hodgson); sons, Barry (Jane), John (Gwen) and Roger (Cindy); grandchildren, John Chandler, Adrian Gilbert, Richard, Nicole and Shayne Lee, Annette Almas, Donna and James Rzan; 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sons, Christopher and Richard. He worked for 40 years at the Irving Pulp and Paper, and the last 22 years as a Electrical Superintendent. In his early years he was involved in the labour local 30 of the pulp, sulphite and paper makers union and served as president of local 1888 of the Electrical Union. In his community, he served as superintendent and teacher of Sunday School at South Bay United Church. In his later years he was very actively involved with the Saint John Skating Club. Ted’s life had always been centered around the health and security of others, his parents, brothers and sisters, in laws and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West (634-1701) there will be no visitation by Ted’s request. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 08, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from Castle Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. A reception will be held a the Fallsview Family Reception Center, following the interment. IN lieu of flowers, donations, in memory of Ted, may be made to the SPCA or the Diabetes Association. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital for their care and compassion. He will be missed.
