Obituary of Eva Marshall
Marshall, Eva Loretta The unexpected death of Mrs. Eva L. (Green) Marshall, wife of the late Donald Marshall occurred on August 26, 2011. Born in Saint John on July 15, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Blanche (Skinner) Green. Eva worked as a timekeeper / stenographer with the CPR for 27 winters, was very active with the Daughters of the Nile, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Philip A. Jerguson Chapter 18, St. Jude’s Church and volunteered for many causes. Eva was a great story-teller and enjoyed sharing with family and friends. She enjoyed travelling with her husband of 64 years Donald. She is survived by a brother Fred Green, sisters Bertha Jones, Mona (James) Dow all of Saint John, and Betty Shonoman of Ontario, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Elva Stephen, Doris Clements,Edith Middleton,and brothers Richard, Harold, Hartley, Merlin, and Lincoln Green. Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 11am from St. Jude’s Anglican Church. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Following the interment a Time of Fellowship will take place in the Church Hall Reception Centre. Donations in memory of Eva to the Order of the Eastern Star, St. Jude’s Anglican Church, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
