Obituary of Daniel Morand

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel Morand on April 28th at the Georges Dumont hospital in Moncton. Dan was born in Ottawa, Ontario on October 2nd, 1942. Words are unable to describe how much he meant to so many people. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and cousin and a fierce and loyal friend. As much as we mourn our loss we also celebrate his life. He was truly a man who lived with passion and loved and lived life to the fullest. He was happiest when he was making others happy whether with his incredible cooking or simply with an infectious smile. He will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by both his parents, Eugene and Doris (nee Kearns) and two of his siblings, Denis and Doreen. He is survived by his step brothers, Arthur (wife Sharon) and Raymond (wife Jean) Bourbonnais, his wife of 44 years Jean (nee Brien), his son Kent (wife Renee) and his daughter, Leigh Ann and 3 grandchildren, Kyle, Madison and Taeler along with several loving cousins, nephews and nieces. Arrangements are entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West, (634-1701). Following Cremation, Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m & 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. from Our Lady of The Assumption Church.
