Obituary of Bennett Armstrong

Bennett Joseph Armstrong went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on November 21, 2015. Born November 21, 1931 he was the son of the late Joseph and Mildred (Mercer) Armstrong. He was a dedicated employee for 30+ years working for Moosehead Breweries in the Maintenance Department. Bennett was known as the family handy man and could fix anything that broke. He cherished his family and enjoyed singing to the grandchildren while rocking them in the rocking chair. Bennett will be sadly missed by loving wife of 57 years Roberta “Bunny” (Tissington) Armstrong; sons David Armstrong, Troy (Joni) Armstrong; daughters Tammy (Joe) Hachey and Robyn (Andrew) Clifford; daughter-in-law Louise Armstrong; grandchildren Joel, Courtney, Jacklyn, Devon, Jessie, Melissa, Corey, Lindsey, Kelsey, Jayden, Jenna, Meagan, Caleb; great grandchildren Lataya, Olivia, Jaxson, Kaysie, Addison, Hudson; brother Bruce (Maridal Green) Armstrong and sister Mary Fulton. Besides his parents Bennett was predeceased by son Dana Armstrong; sister Dora Quiggley; brothers Walter and Reggie Armstrong. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 24, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. from Full Gospel Assembly (34 Mount Pleasant Ave). A funeral Service will be held from Full Gospel Assembly on Wednesday November 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Bennett’s memory can be made to charity of one’s choice.
