Obituary of Dana George Armstrong
With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Dana Armstrong on June 8, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born August 20, 1958 in Minto, NB he was the son of Bennett and Roberta “Bunny” (Tissington) Armstrong. Dana loved his family and especially his grandson Hudson. He held a Level 2 Inspector ticket and was the owner of Pro Welding & Inspection Ltd., a member of Local #213 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and Boilermakers Union #146. Dana spent 25 years working at Saint John shipbuilding. Dana was always known as the life of the party he was good at doing impersonations and was a great story teller. He thoroughly enjoyed his Harley Davidson riding it, working on it and admiring it. Dana loved music and was a long-time member of Full Gospel Assembly. Along with his parents Dana will be dearly missed by loving wife Louise (Mason) Armstrong; sons Joel (Vanessa), Devon; daughters Courtney (Alex Leblanc), Jacklyn (Eoin) and Jessie Armstrong; step children Melissa Brooker (Brayden) and Corey Brooker; brothers David Armstrong, Troy ( Joni); sisters Tammy (Joe) Hachey and Robyn (Andrew) Clifford; grandson Hudson Armstrong; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 10, 2015 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Full Gospel Assembly (34 Mount Pleasant Ave). A funeral Service will be held from Full Gospel Assembly on Thursday June 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Dana’s memory can be made to Village of Hope in Upper Tracy, NB.
