Obituary of Doris Cullinan-LeRoy
The family of Doris Katherine Cullinan-LeRoy (Arsenault) of Quispamsis, NB, is saddened to announce her sudden passing on December 28, 2013 at her residence. Born in Saint John, NB, on November 18, 1919 she was a daughter of the late Elizabeth and Paul Arsenault. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. Her hobbies included cooking, knitting, bowling, reading, as well as the Toronto Blue Jays (big time!). She was a devoted Catholic; she loved her life and her family. Doris is survived by her sons, Peter Joseph Cullinan (Ellen) and Mark Stephen Cullinan (Vicky) both of Saint John, NB; two daughters, Dianne Elizabeth Lester (Ed) of Saint John and Gail Frances Bonnevie (Leo) of Quispamsis, NB; her sisters, Marie Landry, Ann Whittaker, Audrey Jones and Marjorie O’Keefe all of Saint John and Rita Belamy of Edmonton, AB; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; seven step-children and their families, well loved. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands Edward Michael Cullinan (of 58 years) and Lawrence Walter LeRoy (of 11 years), by her son Michael Edward Cullinan, brothers Paul and Frank Arsenault and sisters Thresa McKnight and Edna DeSylva. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB. E2M 2L3; Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 1-6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from Saint Rose de Lima, Milford at 12:00 pm. Following the service, Interment will take place at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Sand Cove Rd. Saint John, NB. All are invited to a reception after the Interment at the Castle “Fallsview” Reception Center.
