Obituary of Gerald J. LeBlanc
With heavy hearts our family announces the passing of Gerry LeBlanc on May 11, 2016. Gerry passed away peacefully at the Regional Hospital with his loving wife Helen and children, Alisha and Gerry Azor, by his side. Gerry was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He cherished his family as his family cherished him. Born in Saint John on January 17, 1959 he was the son of the late Leo Paul and Dorina (Babineau) LeBlanc. Gerry will be sadly missed by his caring wife of 32 years, Helen Marie (McCue), daughter Alisha Grasse (Collin), son Gerry Azor LeBlanc (Paige), his grandchildren, Madeline and Tiernan (Grasse), Max (LeBlanc) and Tai Mitchell. Gerry is also survived by his brothers Ronnie LeBlanc, Danny LeBlanc (Paula), sister Giselle Watson (Kevin), and numerous nephews and nieces, all of whom he took great pride in. Gerry loved all of his in-laws and had a special place in his heart for Helen’s parents, Don and Yvette McCue (deceased). Gerry being a family man, hosted many gatherings where he showcased his unique sense of humour and gifted story-telling abilities. He had a memory that was second to none when telling stories, always speaking with great detail and recounting jokes with vivid descriptions. Often he could be heard bragging of his Jay Leno looks! For those who had the privilege to know Gerry, he will be remembered as a truly valued friend and family man. We all miss you Gerry and celebrate your presence in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Visitation will be held on Friday May 13, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church on Saturday May 14, 2015 at 12:00 noon. In Lieu of flowers donations in Gerry’s memory can be made to NB Right to Life or the charity of one’s choice.
