Obituary of Mary McDonald
McDonald, Mary V. It is with great sadness that the family of Mary V. McDonald of Fredericton announces her passing at York Manor, in Fredericton NB on May 03, 2012. Mary was a devoted mother, sister and grandmother. She was a very caring and compassionate woman to her family and friends. Born in Saint John, NB on February 25, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Amedee and Alice (Murphy) Gallant. She is survived by her daughters, Bridget McDonald, of Fredericton and Patricia McDonald, of Durham Bridge; son, William McDonald; brother, Donald Coholan (Juliette), of Saint John; granddaughters, Aaron Weeks, of Saint John and Allison McDonald, of Quispamsis; great grandsons, Cole Weeks, of Saint John and Jonah Michael Soucy, of Quispamsis and sister-in-law, Theresa Gallant. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her son, Michael McDonald (1992) and brother, Joseph Gallant (2011). Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Friday, May 04, 2012 from 2-6 p.m. A Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, May 05, 2012 from Castle Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in Mary’s memory could be made to Muscular Dystrophy or a charity of the donor’s choice.
