Obituary of Walter Kean
Walter E. Kean passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in 1934 in Saint John, NB., he was the son of the late William and Isabel (Shamper) Kean and husband to the late Dawn (Maguire) Kean. Walter retired from NB Tel 20 years ago after 30 years of service. Since his retirement, he was sure to be found in his garage where many people would drop in for a chat, a repair, or for whatever was needed that particular day. Walter will be greatly missed by his four sons Scott (Jill), Kent (Terri), Bill (Sue) and Chris (Liane); one sister Ruth French; 10 Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Walter was also predeceased by his sisters Betty and Grace. Arrangements under the care and direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) with visitation Friday, December 23, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 11 am from St. Mark’s United Church’ Dexter Drive followed by an interment in the Lorneville Cemetery.
