Obituary of Mary Reid

The death of Mary Armenie Reid, wife of the late Gerard Reid, occurred on November 6, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on May 27, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Matilda Goguen. She is survived by her daughter Shirley (Donald) Melanson of Saint John; grandson Mark (Stacey) Melanson; great grandchildren Jordan and Cameron; sisters Verna Brandbin of Saint John. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Armenie was also predeceased by her brothers Angus, Edward, Albert, and Clifford; sisters Eva, Aline, Kay, and Genevieve. Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701). As per her request no visting will be held, Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima. The interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery and a reception at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre. The family would like to thank the staff at 3BS and 5CS at the Saint John Regional Hospital for the care and kindness shown to Mary.
